Makeiytha Baggett
Makeithya Baggett has entered a nolo contendre plea agreement.
She will receive 1 year probation (during which she cannot own or be the caretaker of dogs), $100 fine, $248 court costs, and pay the euthansia costs of the 3 dogs.
The fines & fees may be waived in exchange for community service.
Case closed June 17 2010.
Baggett has been charged with animal cruelty when she failed to provide basic needs to three dogs. The dogs were starving, covered with fleas, and had untreated injuries.
Makeiytha Baggett's public defender entered a motion to withdraw as her attorney. Officially due to "conflict of interest," Baggett says her attorney told her "some animal group" was "out to hang her." Baggett's new attorney was Anna G. Cothran. Cothran has since been replaced by Fiona Despain.
Crestview Police responded to a complaint about emaciated dogs. Makeithya Baggett was charged with cruelty (she obviously has the funds to feed herself). Okaloosa County Animal Control has removed between 15 and 20 animals from this "person" in the past two years! (Baggett told members of AJRG she had "no idea" about these allegations).
How many more animals have to suffer at the hands of this "woman" before she is held accountable??
Here's the court records of this cold hearted wench

Here's a news report done by the Northwest Florida Daily News

And another by the Crestview News Bulletin

Given the facts of this case, the AJRG believes Baggett is involved with dogfighting. Two of the three dogs allegedly belonged to her brother, Perry James Robinson. He is currently facing drug charges, and has a long history of drug possession, drug paraphanalia possession, domestic violence, and more. http://benchmark.clerkofcourts.cc/CaseDetail.aspx?caseid=2550581
LET"S STOP THIS!!!
