We discussed our plans for the next several weeks, including Dog Daze. The AJRG will have a booth at this super-fun event on October 15. If you are interested in helping in any way - donating to offset our booth space rental cost, buying a tshirt (which we will have available at Dog Daze), supplying dog treats, bottled water, or helping out the day of - PLEASE use the "Contact Us" link if you are not already on our group email list.
Our conversations led me to ponder wishful thinking. Those of us present, and of course many who were not at the meeting, do many things to help out animals (and people too). We volunteer at shelters; we foster homeless pets, we foster orphaned animals. We wear our AJRG shirts; we donate items to thrift shops; we reach out and recognize others in our community who do good deeds. However, there's always the feeling of being overwhelmed and underwater. The neverending feeling that no matter how much we do, it's never enough.
Which got me thinking... what do YOU "wish" more people would do? Donate time? Donate money? Spread awareness? Speak out?
