Here we are in 2010 - a new year, a new decade.
Here's some news - some good, some bad:
Candace Marie Short is scheduled to be in court today for her trial. This is a case that the AJRG was not able to follow, but we still want to see justice. Ms. Short is accused of beating a six-week old puppy into a kennel and causing "catastrophic injuries" during an arguement with her boyfriend. This woman was employed as a pharmacy tech... God help any people who fall on her bad side while she's at work. You can read about her heinous acts here

Now for some good news: Mark Rankin is an exemplary human being! He volunteered his time and expertise to resue a group of dogs from death in Georgia when the shelter they were at was scheduled to close. Mr. Rankin will be receiving a certificate of award in appreciation from the AJRG. You can read about Mr. Rankin and his good deeds here

What if everyone took a little time and helped out those in need?
